Hmm...The general idea is great, but I'd change the gold color. I don't think it's a good pairing with the flowers, personally.

I agree with Ellie. I'm not crazy about the gold. My colors for my wedding are black and pink. So I think black ribbons would look amazing with pink roses.

Lexie . . . I'm a cake designer in Nashville Tennessee and I never went to culinary school. Try taking a beginner's Wilton class. They are not expensive at all. It would be a nice birthday present ;)

In response to Kellie 6/19/08; Walmart cakes taste like lard so $25-$50 is way too much. In San Antonio, I bake custom wedding cakes from scratch with free delivery with 25 miles and free table set-up for $5-$7 per serving depending on type of cake and filling. You get what you pay for even with wedding cake and guests do remember the cake, the centerpiece for the reception.
