Jo Ellen Simon - International Award Winning Sugar Artist and Teacher. Winning competitions since 1988 and has accumulated hundreds of trophies, ribbons, and medals from England, the ACF, The Pastry Alliance, and cake shows around the US. She has studied under the direction of such notables as Nicholas Lodge, Eleanor Rielander, Maurine Stevenson, Geraldine Randlesome, Margaret Ford, Alan Dunn, Geraldine Kidwell, Elizabeth Parvu, Gloria Griffin, Carol Faxon, Toba Garrett, and many more.
Owner of Simply Elegant Inc. a wholesale bakery for restaurants, country clubs, and caterers, she also designs custom wedding cakes for brides. One of her creations was featured in Elegant Bride magazine. Her sugar artwork has also been published in Good Housekeeping, American Cake Decorating, Australian Wedding Cakes, Here Comes The Cake, British Cake Decoration magazine as well as numerous newspaper articles and TV appearances. |
